Tsunami tips

If you are on the beach or near a river when a strong earthquake occurs, leave the area immediatly.

Get away from the beach/coast and go inland at least 1km or 35 metres above the sea level.

A warning sign of a tsunami is an earthquake, a sudden fall in the sea level (you'll probably see fish left flapping about on the sand) or a sudden rise in the sea level.

Turn on your radio and follow the instructions.

Tsunamis are not just one big wave, but a series of waves . Do NOT return to the coast until your parents/caregivers have been told by officials that is safe, even if looks safe.
