Chapter 2 - An unpleasant shower (1)

| ELPHI |
As you remember, i have been teaching in the middle of the jungle, because the tsunami destroyed
my school. But todayeverything is forgotten: the
new school is ready! |
| MAKI |
Miss Elphi,
everything is so new and beautiful! |
| MONKITO |
Can we
go inside? |
| ELPHI |
Not
yet, not yet. We have to wait until Mr. Deer, the Regional Director,
inaugurates it officially. He will be here any time now. Actually, there he
is! |
| MR. DEER |
Ladies and gentlemen, children… we are very proud to inaugurate
this wonderful school, much better than the former one. We have transformed the tsunami tragedy
into new hope for the future! |
| ELPHI |
(WHISPERING)
Where is Monkito? |
| MAKI |
(WHISPERING)
I don’t know, Miss Elphi. |
| MR. DEER |
We must proudly remember that it was rebuilt with the effort and solidarity of all the
animals in the local jungle and beyond! So I will nowl proceed to cut the ribbon as a symbol that the
school is officially open. The scissors, please. |
| ELPHI |
I don’t know where they are, Sir, I left them over that table. |
| BINDU |
(WHISPERING)
Miss Elphi, Monkito took them to cut some bananas from the tree. |
| ELPHI |
Will
a knife serve the purpose, Mr. Deer? |
